13 of a family killed in accident in Pakistan’s Punjab province.

The mini-truck, while negotiating a turn, skidded off the road and fell into a ravine at Pench Pir area of Khushab, some 250 kilometres from Lahore.

In Lahore, 13 family members, including five children, lost their lives, and nine others were injured in a tragic accident. The incident took place in Punjab province when the mini-truck they were traveling in veered off the road and plunged into a ravine. The vehicle was in route from Bannu district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to Khushab district in Punjab.

The accident occurred as the truck was navigating a turn at Pench Pir area of Khushab, approximately 250 kilometers from Lahore. Thirteen individuals, including five children, perished at the scene, while the nine injured were rushed to a hospital in critical condition. The victims were a part of an extended family traveling to Khushab for labor purposes.

Eyewitnesses reported that the driver lost control due to over speeding. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed sorrow over the tragic incident and instructed authorities to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured.
