In Wanwadi area Pune, a robbery occurred at a gold shop in broad daylight where 6 to 7 individuals looted a significant amount of money. The incident, which took place at BGS Jewelers in Wanwadi, was captured on CCTV. This event has caused concern in the community as incidents of theft, burglary, and altercations are on the rise in Pune.
The unidentified perpetrators, wearing masks, attacked a jeweler's shop at Wadkar Mala Mohammadwadi Road in Wanwadi, stealing 300 to 400 grams of gold before fleeing on a motorcycle. Following the incident, law enforcement officials, including Upper Commissioner of Police Shailesh Balkawade (IPS), Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Zende DCP, Deputy Commissioner of Police R. Raja IPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ingle, and local authorities, swiftly responded to the scene.
The police have secured the CCTV footage and launched a search for the suspects, dispatching investigative teams to locate them as Wanwadi Police continues their inquiry.
