Ajit Doval meets Putin : Ajit Doval meets Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow

Various issues were discussed in the meeting. According to the Kremlin, Putin discussed bilateral relations, the Russia-Ukraine war and security issues with Ajit Doval in St. Petersburg. Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to attend the BRICS summit. Putin also directed the relevant authorities to arrange a separate bilateral meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the BRICS summit.

Last month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited China. Modi and Putin discussed global, regional and bilateral issues, including the Russia-Ukraine conflict. According to Russian state news agency TASS, Putin proposed to hold a bilateral meeting with the Indian prime minister at the BRICS summit. The implementation of the agreements signed during Modi's visit to Moscow is expected to be discussed in the upcoming bilateral meeting.


"We are waiting for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kazan," Putin said during his meeting with Ajit Doval. I think we should have a bilateral meeting on October 22. After meeting Putin, Doval briefed him about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Ukraine. He also spoke about India's role in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Doval also briefed Putin on Modi's talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. India is ready to play an active role in promoting peace between the two countries. Meanwhile, sources told NDTV that Ajit Doval met Putin to brief him on the steps being taken by India to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He had gone to Russia with Modi's peace plan.
