Ambala road accident : Traveler traveling to Vaishno Devi collides with trolley, seven killed; 20 injured, PM expressed condolences.

A family traveling for Vaishno Devi darshan from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh met with an accident on the Ambala-Delhi Highway near Mohra. The incident occurred around 2 o'clock in the night as their trolley collided with another vehicle. The traveler, carrying a total of 26 people, suffered severe damage in the collision. Tragically, seven individuals, including a six-month-old girl, lost their lives, while 20 others sustained injuries.

Some of the injured were trapped inside the damaged vehicle while others were found scattered on the highway. Upon hearing the cries for help, passers-by assisted in rescuing the injured individuals. Subsequently, they were transported to Cantonment Civil Hospital and Adesh Hospital for medical treatment via ambulance. The deceased were taken to the mortuary for post-mortem examinations.

The Mohra police have initiated an investigation into the case. One of the survivors, Dheeraj, recounted that the family had embarked on their journey on the evening of May 23. As they approached Mohra, a vehicle suddenly appeared in front of their trolley, causing the driver to lose control and collide with it. The victims who lost their lives in the tragic accident include Vinod (52) from Jakholi, Sonipat, Manoj (42) and Guddi from Bulandshahr Kakaur, UP, Maher Chand from Hasanpur, UP, Satbir (46), and Deepti (6 months) from Kakaur, UP.

The condition of some of the injured individuals remains critical. Former Home Minister of Haryana, Anil Vij, visited the hospital to inquire about the injured's condition and assured the affected families of all possible assistance. He also communicated with the Chief Minister to ensure support for the injured and their families. Expressing his condolences, Prime Minister Modi described the road accident in Ambala, Haryana as deeply distressing.

He extended his sympathies to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. The local administration, under the state government's guidance, is actively involved in providing aid to the victims. The injured individuals were identified as follows: Rajindra (50) from Bulandshahr, Kavita (37), Vansh (15), Sumit (20), Saroj (40) from Jakholi, Sonipat, Naveen (15), Lalta Prasad (50) from Mughalpuri, Delhi, Anuradha (42) from Mughalpuri, Bulandshahr, Shivani (23) from Takor, Adarsh (4), Radhika from Jamalpur near Dhankaur in UP, and Dheeraj.
