Mohammed Nadeem, who set ablaze the Ola Electric showroom in Kalaburagi, had bought the scooter at a cost of Rs 1.4 lakh. A few days after taking the scooter home, there was a technical failure in the battery and sound system. After that, Nadeem went to the showroom several times and complained. He tried to fix it himself. But he also failed to do so. Angered by this, Nadeem bought petrol on September 10 and took it to the Ola Electric showroom in Kalaburagi. That's where he bought his scooter. As the showroom was closed, he poured petrol outside the showroom and set it on fire. Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire mishap. However, six scooters in the showroom were burnt. The loss has been estimated at Rs. 8.5 lakh.


A senior police officer said that Nadeem had taken the new electric scooter from the showroom two weeks ago. However, new problems cropped up. He also went to the showroom many times and complained. However, the staff at the showroom could not repair his scooter.
