Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajan Pandey was stabbed to death in Bhayander. The incident took place around five in the evening. Pandey was injured in the attack and is being treated at a private hospital. Rajan Pandey is an associate of BJP leader Ravi Vyas. Around 5 pm on Friday, Pandey went to Shiv Sena Galli in Bhayander West and was stabbed by his friend Vinod Rajbhar.
He had sustained serious injuries on his chest and stomach. Another person, who came to Pandey's rescue, was also injured. Locals said Pandey managed to escape in time and saved his life. Pandey and the other injured are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Mira Road. After receiving information about the incident, the police rushed to the spot and are investigating the matter.
Rajan Pandey, an aide of BJP's 145-member Assembly Speaker Ravi Vyas, is the main accused in the case. When Vyas was the district president, he was given the main responsibility of the party. According to the information, Pandey is a gutkha trader. For the last few days, he had a dispute with Vinod Rajbhar, who was attacked, over financial matters. The incident took place after the two met on Friday.
