The Democracy News : Hyderabad: BRS leader Manne Krishank leveled a series of accusations against the Congress government, alleging significant corruption and a lack of transparency in digital ticket tenders. During a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday, June 15, Krishank brought attention to a major scandal involving a tender process in the TGSRTC (Telangana State Road Transport Corporation).
He pointed out that a substantial project tender concerning ITIMS (Intelligent Ticket Issue Machines) was handled confidentially and internally, prompting queries about why such an important project was not listed on the RTC website. Krishank accused Ponnam Prabhakar, Minister of Transport, of maintaining secrecy around the TSRTC department tenders.
Krishank raised concerns about why tenders issued by the previous government in February 2023 were suddenly canceled. He also questioned the decision made on January 11, 2024, to shift online tenders on the RTC website to offline mode. He demanded transparency regarding the number of tenders submitted, quotes received, and the rationale behind hastily introducing 14 amendments within a month.
