The CBI is probing the rape and murder of the Kolkata-based doctor. During the investigation, CCTV footage of the incident came to light. NDTV has reported this.

In the CCTV footage, the suspect has a Bluetooth earphone around his neck. During the initial investigation after the woman's body was found in the seminar hall of RG Kar Medical College, the police had found a Bluetooth earphone at the scene of the crime. During interrogation, the police showed him CCTV evidence, following which Roy confessed to the crime, sources told NDTV.

Meanwhile, the accused went to the hospital the night before the rape and murder of the trainee doctor. He was drunk, sources said. CCTV footage shows that he went to the hospital in the middle of the night. The doctor was resting in the seminar hall of the hospital. The incident is being condemned across the country. Nationwide protests had erupted after the incident. A special court in Kolkata has allowed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct polygraph test on Sanjay Roy.
