MP News : The Char dham Yatra has commenced in Uttarakhand, attracting an overwhelming influx of pilgrims. Owing to the unmanageable crowd, authorities have suspended Char Dham Yatra registrations for the next 48 hours. The over crowding has forced individuals to spend nights outdoors, resulting in unfortunate incidents.
Tragically, a total of 11 pilgrims, including three from Madhya Pradesh, have lost their lives during the pilgrimage due to congestion. CM Mohan Yadav has expressed sorrow over the incidents and announced a compensation of Rs.4 lakh each for the families of the deceased. The deteriorating situation, marked by accidents and stranded individuals, has prompted the MP government to release helpline numbers for assistance.
The chaos stems from the sudden surge of pilgrims, leading to a breakdown in the system and necessitating the temporary suspension of Char Dham Yatra registrations.
