A massive explosion occurred at the largest firecracker factory in Chhattisgarh on Saturday morning, leading to a subsequent fire that engulfed the factory and spread to the surrounding area in Borsi village, located 70 km away from Bemetra district. One person died in the explosion, with several others injured, including factory employees. The blast occurred near Piranda village in the Berla Development Area.
Currently, six individuals have been injured and are receiving treatment at a nearby government hospital. The fire brigade promptly responded to the incident, successfully containing the fire. The cause of the fire remains unknown, prompting the deployment of SDRF and police teams for assistance. Rescue efforts are underway, with ambulances on standby to transport the injured.
