Dighi Police has registered a case of attempt to murder against Mahesh Upade, his brother, Yash Mohite, Dadiya Mohite and their 5 to 6 accomplices. According to the police, Yash Mohite used to call the complainant's friend Nilesh Shinde and abuse him over a minor dispute. At that time, the complainant went to convince him. At that time, Mahesh Upade's brother tried to stab the complainant in the head with a sickle. The victim sustained injuries on his hand. Yash Mohite then stabbed the complainant in the stomach with a sickle.
Mahesh Upade hit the complainant on the head with a bat in his hand.
The other accomplices also assaulted the complainant's friends Mahesh Shinde, Suraj Ghenand and Akash Ghenand with sticks and bat.
They pelted stones at the victim's car and damaged it. People gathered to see them.
They threatened to kill the man if he and others came in contact with them.
People ran away in fear. A Deputy Superintendent of Police is investigating.
