In a shocking incident, a man entered the house of an elderly woman and tried to kill her by pressing a pillow on her face. He was arrested by the Faraskhana police. Vikram Jogi Vishwakarma (30) The accused has been identified as Nepal. According to the police, he committed the crime with the intention of committing robbery. (Attempt To Murder)
The woman has lodged a complaint at the police station. The woman lives alone in Pune. His daughter is married and lives in Ambegaon Plateau area of Dhankawadi. Around 11.30 pm on Monday, Vishwakarma Ganesh came near the woman's house in Peth. The woman had left the door open due to rain. Seeing no one there, Vishwakarma entered the house. The older woman was asleep. Vishwakarma pressed the pillow on the woman's face. The woman resisted this. Locals had informed the police immediately after the incident. Police personnel rushed to the spot. Vishwakarma was arrested.
It was learnt that Vishwakarma is a firsta and is currently residing at Sadashiv Peth. Police sub-inspector Amol Kale is investigating the case.
