Elections in J & K:
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, will address a public meeting in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir today. BJP's election in Jammu and Kashmir Kishan Reddy said that after 40 years, the Prime Minister's rally is being held in Doda. The first meeting was held in 1982.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the BJP's star campaigner for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting will be held at the venue today. This is the first meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the announcement of elections in Jammu and Kashmir. The Election Commission had announced the polls on August 31.


on September 18, September 25 and October 1. In the first phase, elections will be held in eight constituencies of J & K. These constituencies are spread across three districts. In Jammu and Kashmir, polling will be held in 16 constituencies. BJP leader Gaje Singh Rana has filed his nomination from Doda. Shakti Raj Parihar is contesting from Doda West seat.


The meeting will be held in Kurukshetra.
After Doda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold his first rally in Kurukshetra as Haryana goes to polls next month. Elections in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir will be held on October 8. Tight police security has been deployed in Doda in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally today. Two Indian Army soldiers were killed and several others injured in an encounter with terrorists in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. It remains to be seen what the Prime Minister will say at today's meeting.

In 2019, when the Modi government came to power for the second time, it abolished Article 370.Special forces have been deployed to ensure this. It will be interesting to see what Prime Minister Narendra Modi has to say today.
