The Democracy News :- A female passenger, who was set to board a flight to Mumbai, was arrested by Lucknow police for allegedly assaulting and biting an airline ground crew member at Lucknow airport. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening during the boarding of flight QP 1525, scheduled for departure at 5:25 p.m. The complaint was filed at Sarojini Nagar police station.
Sarojini Nagar's Station House Officer (SHO) Shailendra Giri stated that the woman, who was under stress and agitated, had a dispute with fellow passengers upon boarding the flight. When flight staff tried to pacify her, she became agitated again, prompting ground staff to intervene and remove her. During the deboarding process, she bit a male crew member on the wrist.
Subsequently, the CISF was summoned, and she was taken to the police station for legal proceedings. The woman was charged under IPC Sections 324 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (breach of peace). Originally from Agra but residing in Mumbai, the woman traveled to Lucknow to visit her sister, as per the police. After the FIR was filed, she was handed over to her family.
