Gaming center fire in Rajkot : 27 Died, game zone owner-manager detained; Difficult to even identify dead bodies.

The chief of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) assigned to look into the Rajkot fire incident, Subhash Trivedi, expressed his regret after meeting with the Home Minister, stating that the accident is indeed unfortunate. Trivedi mentioned that the SIT will delve into the actions taken by various departments, determine accountability for the incident, identify errors made, and address measures needed to prevent such tragedies in the future.

A total of 27 individuals, including four children, lost their lives in a significant fire at the TRP Game Zone in Rajkot, Gujarat. Home Minister Harsh Shanghvi visited the scene late at night to gather information about the incident. He informed that one person is currently missing. Following the accident, the owner and manager of the 'Game Zone' were detained by the Rajkot Police.

A special investigation team has been established by the government to probe the matter further. Trivedi, leading the SIT for the investigation, reiterated the unfortunate nature of the accident after meeting with the Home Minister. The SIT will thoroughly investigate the roles of different departments, determine accountability, identify mistakes, and propose preventive measures for future incidents. Tragically, among the deceased were four children under the age of 12.

A total of 27 individuals, including four children under 12 years old, tragically lost their lives in a massive fire at the TRP 'Game Zone' in Rajkot on Saturday evening. Rajkot's Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Radhika Bharai confirmed the 27 deaths, noting that the bodies were extensively burnt, making identification challenging.

ACP Vinayak Patel reported that at least four children under 12 years old were among the deceased. The police mentioned that due to school holidays, a considerable number of children were present at the TRP Game Zone with their parents.
