Increasing digitalization has made it easier to transfer money from one account to another. At many places in India, vegetable markets are now being paid through UPI.

At the same time, the Indian digital payment system is gaining popularity all over the world. German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has praised the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) service in India, saying that what was seen in Delhi is not possible in Germany.

But I think it's impossible in Germany, "Annalena Baerbock said at the German Foreign Office's annual ambassadorial conference in Berlin.


Annalena Baerbock also said that on August 23 last year, German Minister for Digital and Transport Volker Wissing bought vegetables using UPI at a market in Bengaluru. They were very happy to see that. Meanwhile, the German Embassy in India shared his video on social media.
