A case of attempted murder was filed against Ganesh Jadeja, son of Gujarat BJP MLA Geetaba Jadeja, along with others in Junagadh. They were accused of kidnapping and assaulting a local NSUI leader. The complaint was made by Sanjay Solanki, the city unit chief of the National Students' Union of India, an organization affiliated with the Congress party. Solanki, who is a Dalit, also invoked the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday, and an FIR was registered against Ganesh Jadeja and his group by Inspector V J Savaj of Junagadh A Division police station. According to the FIR, Solanki had requested Jadeja to drive carefully on Thursday night, leading to an altercation. Later, Jadeja and his associates allegedly followed Solanki to his home, where they assaulted him.

The accused then took Solanki to Jadeja's residence in Gondal, where he was further attacked and pressured to leave the NSUI. The next morning, Solanki was dropped off at Bhesan crossroads. Geetaba Jadeja represents the Gondal constituency in Rajkot district.
