Gus Atkinson scored a century batting at number eight in the second Test of the three-match series against Sri Lanka. Gus Atkinson, who came to bat at number 8 in England's first innings at Lord's, played a great innings for his team. In the first innings, Gus scored 118 runs in 115 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 14 fours. This was Gus's first century in Test cricket and his century was made at the historic Lord's.

Joe Root scored 143 in England's first innings as England posted 427 in their first innings. Gus is a fast bowler of the English team, but at Lord's, he played an amazing innings and scored a direct century and the team crossed 400 runs.
