Doctors at Medak Orthopedic and General Hospital (MOGH) in Hyderabad strongly denounced the violent incident that occurred on their premises on Saturday night. Dr. Naveen, a spokesperson for MOGH, addressed the media, expressing dismay over the attack that disrupted their medical services. The hospital was targeted by a group of 100 to 150 individuals who vandalized the property by throwing stones, resulting in damage to windows and furniture.

Additionally, a staff member sustained a leg fracture during the chaos. Dr. Naveen questioned the rationale behind the assault, emphasizing the hospital's commitment to providing care to all patients without discrimination. Reflecting on the distressing events, Dr. Naveen highlighted the irony that individuals involved in the attack might require medical assistance from the same hospital in the future.

He vowed to consult with fellow doctors at Medak to determine the appropriate course of action in response to the incident. The violent episode was part of a larger series of attacks in Medak district, including an assault on a madrasa where individuals were injured during clashes over the sacrificial ritual for Bakrid.

Reports indicated that the altercation stemmed from tensions surrounding the purchase of sacrificial animals by Minhaj ul Uloom Madarsa. Following a commotion instigated by members of right-wing groups, law enforcement intervened to disperse the crowd.

However, the situation escalated when the same groups returned to the madrasa and instigated a violent assault, resulting in injuries to several individuals who required medical attention at a local hospital. Subsequently, the aggressors targeted the hospital, launching another attack by pelting stones at the building.
