Hyderabad : SBI launches cyber security awareness drive.

Hyderabad: SBI, Hyderabad Circle initiated a cyber security awareness campaign on Friday by launching a promotional vehicle from the Local Head Office building at Koti, Hyderabad. Manju Sharma, general manager (NW-1), Debashish Mitra, general manager (NW-2), and A K Sarathy (GM) flagged off the vehicle. The campaign aims to raise public awareness about the increasing number of reported cybercrimes and the resources available, such as the cybercrime helpline number 1930, cybercrime reporting portal www.cybercrime.gov.in, and the social media accounts of I-4C (Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre) including Cyberdost on various platforms. The vehicle will travel around the city spreading awareness about cyber security and promoting the use of helpline 1930. During the event, Manju Sharma stressed the importance of raising awareness to prevent financial cyber fraud. She highlighted that understanding cyber security can help in avoiding data breaches, identity theft, and other cybercrimes.

A K Sarathy mentioned that awareness programs provide individuals with the knowledge to identify and prevent cyber threats. He emphasized the importance of safe online practices such as using strong passwords, recognizing phishing attempts, and keeping software updated to reduce the risk of cyber attacks. The event was attended by Jitendra Kumar Sharma (DGM-CDO), Malathi Nambiar (DGM-CM&CS), Sunil Kumar Goel (DGM-Fin&Ops), as well as other DGMs, customers, and bank staff.
