Imphal is watery : Hundreds of people rescued from flood-hit areas in Manipur.

Imphal has been severely impacted by heavy rains due to Cyclone Remal, resulting in three fatalities and thousands of individuals being affected by floods in the Imphal valley. Floodwaters have breached hundreds of homes, with around 1000 individuals rescued from the flood-affected regions in Manipur by Assam Rifles personnel. In a recent statement, Assam Rifles reported that their troops successfully conducted rescue operations in flood-stricken areas of Imphal city, assisting stranded individuals.

Additionally, a thousand locals were rescued from the inundated areas. As floodwaters continued to rise following intense rainfall, numerous people were trapped, prompting Assam Rifles to deploy dedicated flood relief teams to address the crisis.

The effective execution of the flood rescue mission underscores the Assam Rifles' unwavering commitment, professionalism, and preparedness, as highlighted in the statement. Subsequent to a temporary improvement in weather conditions on Thursday, Assam Rifles initiated the distribution of essential food and water supplies.
