BJP leader and Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar has snatched the lead in Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency over his nearest rival, Shashi Tharoor of the INC.

He currently leads by over 4,900 votes.

BJP heads for wins in Tripura

The BJP was leading in Tripura's two Lok Sabha seats as the counting of votes was underway on Tuesday, according to the Election Commission's website. BJP’s Biplab Kumar Deb was ahead of his nearest rival Asish Kumar Saha in Tripura West administrative seat by votes. In the Tripura East Lok Sabha seat, BJP seeker Kriti Devi Debbarman was leading by votes over her nearest rival Rajendra Reang of the CPI( M).

BJP leading in 14 seats in Rajasthan

BJP campaigners leading at 14 of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan, while Congress is leading at eight seats and three INDIA bloc parties at one seat each. The INDIA bloc parties are CPI( M), Rashtriya Loktantrik Party and Bharatiya Adivasi Party, leading at Sikar, Nagaur and Banswara, independently.

BJP maintains lead in Madhya Pradesh

The BJP continues to maintain its lead on all 29 seats of Madhya Pradesh with the Congress running on the only seat that it had won in 2019 — Chhindwara, according to the rearmost trends by the Election Commission.

In Chhindwara, BJP’s Bunty Vivek Sahu had gained a lead of over 60,000 votes against Congress ’ peremptory MP Nakul Nath, the son of former CM and nine- term MP Kamal Nath.

BJP set to open account in Kerala

BJP candidate and actor-turned-politician Suresh Gopi appears poised for a win in the Thrissur Lok Sabha seat with a comfortable lead of over 58,000 votes against his nearest rival, according to the Election Commission figures on Tuesday.

Gopi,till around 12.15 pm, got 2,97,760 votes, surpassing the 2,93,822 total votes he received in the 2019 LS polls in Thrissur.

BJP continues to lead in all seven Delhi seats

New Delhi, Jun 4( PTI) The BJP is leading in all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi on Tuesday, according to trends on the Election Commission( EC) website.

The BJP's Praveen Khandelwal was originally running the Congress' Jai Prakash Agarwal in the Chandni Chowk seat but has now moved ahead to secure a lead of 27,041 votes, EC data showed.

The BJP's North- East Delhi seeker Manoj Tiwari, who's leveled against the Congress' Kanhaiya Kumar, was leading by a periphery of 73,781 votes.

BJP West Delhi seeker Kamaljeet Sehrawat, who's over against AAP's Mahabal Mishra, was ahead by a periphery of 69,296 votes, and the BJP's North- West Delhi seeker Yogender Chandoliya was leading by votes against the Congress Udit Raj, the data showed.

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has scripted a comeback to gain a lead of 3,947 votes against BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar after lagging behind for nearly two hours in Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency. Around 1.5 lakh votes are yet to be counted in the constituency.

Rahul beats Sonia’s 2019 victory margin in Rae Bareli, leads by 2.22 lakh votes

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has surpassed Sonia Gandhi’s 2019 victory margin from the Rae Bareli constituency and is now leading by 2,27,535 votes against his nearest rival Dinesh Pratap Singh of the BJP.

BJP’s Manju Sharma wins Jaipur seat

In Rajasthan, BJP’s Manju Sharma won the Jaipur Lok Sabha seat by defeating her nearest rival, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas of Congress, with a margin of 3,31,767 votes. Manju Sharma polled 8,86,850 votes.

Smriti Irani trails in Amethi by over 88,000 votes

Congress leader Kishori Lal Sharma is leading by a comfortable margin of over 88,000 votes in the Amethi parliamentary seat against the BJP’s Smriti Irani, who defeated Rahul Gandhi in 2019.

According to the latest trends available on the Election Commission website, Mr. Sharma is leading by 88,908 votes. Mr. Gandhi represented the Amethi Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh from 2004 to 2019.

In the 2019 general election, he lost the seat to Irani by a margin of 55,102 votes. Gandhi was elected to the Lok Sabha from Kerala’s Wayanad.

The Bharatiya Janata Party( BJP) won Ahmedabad East, Ahmedabad West, Mahesana and Junagadh Lok Sabha constituencies in Gujarat as the Election Commision of India declared early results of the Lok Sabha choices.
