A Honored of Padma Awards and 132 personalities by President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi

On 23 April President Droupadi Murmu presented the Padma Awards to 132 prestigious personalities of the country, awarded the Padma Shri in New Delhi, These include 5 from Maharashtra.

Social activity Bindeshwar Pathak was awarded the Padma Vibhushan posthumously. Five prestigious personalities from Maharashtra have been fete with the Padma Awards. Former Union Minister Ram Naik(Public Service), Dattatraya Anvadas Mayalu alias Rajdutt(trades) have been awarded the Padma Bhushan, Manohar Krishna Eye(Medicine), Zaheer Ishaq Kazi(Literature) and Kalpana Morparia(Industry) were awarded the Padma Shri.

The Padma Awards were presented by the President of India at a spangling form held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar attended the programme, Jaishankar and other Union Ministers were also present on the occasion. In the first phase of the Padma Awards form, awards were given to five prestigious personalities of the state.
