CM Shinde: Saints in Maharashtra Are Safe and Protected

Nashik: Maharashtra has a great saint tradition and is running the government with his blessings. Therefore, no one will dare to shake the hair of saints in the state, "said Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. He was speaking at the Harinam Week celebrations organised by the Sadguru Gangagiri Maharaj Sansthan at Panchale in Sinnar taluk. A case has been registered against Mahant Ramgiri Maharaj at Yeola police station for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the minority community. During the Harinaam week, Chief Minister Shinde praised the work of Ramgiri Maharaj.

Chief Minister Shinde attended the seven-day week on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, he underlined the significance of the Warkari Sampradaya, Harinam Saptaha and congratulated Ramgiri Maharaj for continuing this tradition for 177 years. As many as 40 lakh people participated in the week without wearing headscarves, Shinde said.
An amount of Rs. 15 crore will be spent on the project. In the year 2023-24, six Warkaris died in an accident. He also announced financial assistance of Rs five lakh each to the families of the deceased.
