High Court Judge Criticized for Referring to Bengaluru Locality as 'Pakistan'

Bengaluru: Karnataka High Court judge Vedavyasachara Sreesananda, who was hearing a case of alleged blasphemy against Hindu minorities in the state, has said that a neighbourhood in Bengaluru is a "Pakistani territory."

Karnataka High Court Justice V.S. Sreesanth is facing severe criticism for calling a Muslim-dominated locality in Bengaluru as' Pakistan '. The judge had referred to the Gori Palya area in West Bengaluru as Pakistan. The judge made the remarks while hearing a case related to insurance. The judge made the remarks while speaking on the Rent Control Act on August 28.

The video of the entire incident was shared by Bar and Bench on their X account. The judges were talking about amending the Rent Control Act and the Motor Vehicles Act. The judge explained how foreign vehicles follow the rules and discipline by parking in a queue, as well as the speed limit.
