Bengaluru Bike rallies, ‘ Jai Shri Ram’ chants, and reposing in Modi’s glory are Shobha Karandlaje’s trump cards for the forthcoming Lok Sabha parties. Karandlaje, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s( BJP) seeker for the Bengaluru North constituency, has begun her crusade to win the parties against Rajeev Gowda of the Indian National Congress(INC). Karandlaje, wearing a designedly Orange colour Gandhi cap, smiled and hugged party workers, posing as she hopped from one tabernacle to another during her recent crusade in Vijinapura and Ramamurthy Nagar. She offered prayers at Murugan Temple in Kothanur Main Road, Lakshmi Venkateshwara Swamy Temple in Dooravani Nagar, and Eshwara Temple in Kalkere, as part of the Hindutva convinced strategy of the BJP.

Orange confetti and bank from the nonstop detonation of firecrackers filled the air as Karandlaje walked hand-in-hand with party workers. Still, Karandlaje’s trail, while a crowd-sculler, failed to reach the lower colonies in the ward that are in dairy need of better structure and introductory installations. Nonetheless, the trail passed through NRI Colony, corridor of Ambedkar Nagar, and Banjara Layout.

The seeker, who lately refuted claims labelling her an “ stranger ” in Bengaluru North, sounded pressured to prove her connection to the constituency. She visited a party worker’s house near Punyabhumi Layout to eat holige and obattu served by them. Byrathi Basavaraj, the BJP Member of Legislative Assembly(MLA) from K.R. Puram constituency, was present at Eshwara tabernacle to support Karandlaje along with other party workers.

She sought his blessings by bowing down and touching his faces, a typical Hindu way of chatting elders. While the maturity of the crowd comported of men, several middle-aged women party workers also lauded Karandlaje’s trail.
