This is PM Modi's first visit to Jammu and Kashmir after taking charge as Prime Minister for the third time.
On the first day of his two- day visit, he addressed the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC). He also appertained to the recent terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
