Bhosari, Pune – In a significant operation, the Crime Branch's Unit 1 has successfully apprehended a suspect linked to drug trafficking in Bhosari. On Monday, during routine checks in light of Ganeshotsav festivities, officers intercepted Zaheer Qadir Khan, a 26-year-old resident of Jama Masjid, Bhagyodayan Nagar, Kondhwa Mool Ra, while he was allegedly en route to sell illegal substances.

According to police reports, Constable Mahadev Gajendra Jawale lodged a complaint at the Bhosari police station following the arrest. Upon searching him, they discovered a substantial quantity of drugs: 13 grams of mephedrone (MD) and 9 grams of charas, alongside two mobile phones. The total value of the recovered narcotics is estimated to be an alarming Rs 4,09,250. The police have initiated further investigations, with sub-inspectors actively probing the matter to uncover any additional leads and connections to larger drug networks.
