Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a rally in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, said that dynasty politics has destroyed the beautiful state of Jammu and Kashmir. This is PM Modi's first election rally in Jammu and Kashmir. He targeted the National Conference (NC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Congress, the main parties in Jammu and Kashmir. "Terrorism is the last straw in Jammu and Kashmir," he said.
Modi said the BJP has given a new leadership to Jammu and Kashmir as an alternative to dynastic rule. PM Modi was addressing a rally in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir where he launched a scathing attack on the opposition. He alleged that Jammu and Kashmir had suffered because of dynastic politics. Congress is the most dishonest party and to come to power they indulge in electoral malpractices, "Modi said. He also reiterated the government's commitment to grant statehood to Jammu and Kashmir after the elections.
Omar asks Modi to speak on security
Srinagar: NC leader and former chief minister Omar Abdullah has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to focus on the deteriorating security situation in Jammu and Kashmir instead of making old allegations of nepotism. "There is no question of allying with any political party," he said. Omar also criticised the Prime Minister for his silence on the martyrdom of soldiers in Kishtwar.
Prime Minister's response to Congress
Srinagar: The Congress has accused the Narendra Modi government at the Centre of failing to curb the rise in terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir since he became the prime minister for the third time. Terrorism has long been banned in Jammu and Kashmir. Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said that after August 2019, tall claims were made, but they failed.
