India's women's football team suffered a 0-3 defeat to Uzbekistan in the first international friendly in Tashkent. After a goalless first half, Uzbekistan's striker Khabibulaeva Deora scored a hat-trick to secure a comfortable win. In the first half, the Indian team's defense showed strength, led by Ashalata Devi.
Despite pressure, goalkeeper Shreya Hooda was not seriously tested. The turning point came in the second half when Uzbekistan was awarded a penalty after a handball by Sanju. Deora capitalized on the opportunity, scoring two more goals to complete her hat-trick.
India's Pyari Xaxa had a chance late in the game but missed. The teams will meet for a second friendly match on June 4. Coach Chaoba Devi is leading the Indian team in Uzbekistan.
