The Democracy News :- A Mumbai-bound Indi-Go flight from Chennai received a bomb threat message on Tuesday, but it landed safely at the Mumbai airport at 10:30 pm, according to an airport source. The bomb threat message was received at the private airline's call center in New Delhi, the source mentioned without providing further details. Upon landing in Mumbai, Indi-Go flight 6E 5149, which was operating from Chennai to Mumbai, received a bomb threat.

The crew followed protocol, and the aircraft was taken to an isolation bay, as stated by the airline. All passengers have safely disembarked the aircraft, Indi-Go confirmed. The airline is collaborating with security agencies, and once all security checks are completed, the aircraft will be returned to the terminal area. Various airports, including those in Varanasi, Chennai, Patna, and Jaipur, received bomb threat emails earlier in the day.

This led to authorities implementing contingency measures and conducting anti-sabotage checks that lasted for hours. The threats were deemed hoaxes after the security sweeps. Following emails received around 12:40 pm from the ID exhumedyou888@gmail.com, security was heightened as agencies conducted thorough searches of airport terminals.

Varanasi, Chennai, Patna, Nagpur, Jaipur, Vadodara, Coimbatore, and Jabalpur were among the airports that received the hoax threats, according to officials.
