Yesterday at the Mumbai airport, a potentially dangerous situation unfolded as an Indi-Go flight and an Air India flight shared the same runway. The Civil Aviation Directorate promptly initiated an investigation and suspended an air traffic control officer. A video circulating on social media captured both aircraft on the runway.

Following the departure of the Air India flight to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, the Indi-Go flight from Indore proceeded to land in Mumbai. Indi-Go confirmed that the pilot of the Indore-Mumbai flight adhered to ATC instructions, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to passenger safety.

Air India also stated that their aircraft received clearance for take-off as per ATC instructions, highlighting the ongoing inquiry to ascertain compliance with prescribed procedures.
