Sanju Samson, leading the Rajasthan Royals, has secured a spot in IPL 2024. The team is currently competing against Punjab Kings in Guwahati, with Rajasthan scoring 144 runs in their first innings. Although Samson was dismissed for 18 runs, his consistent performance has earned him a place in the Indian squad for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup. With 500 runs in IPL 2024, he became the first opening batsman to achieve this milestone for Rajasthan in a season.

Additionally, Samson is the second wicket-keeper batsman after Jos Buttler to surpass 500 runs in a season since 2018. Despite a modest innings against Punjab Kings, Samson reached 3000 runs in IPL while playing at number three, following in the footsteps of Suresh Raina, who has scored 4934 runs in the same position. In the number three spot, Virat Kohli has accumulated 2815 runs in the IPL.

The Rajasthan Royals, guided by Samson, have excelled in IPL 2024, securing a playoff spot with 16 points from 8 wins in 12 matches. With a net run rate of plus 0.349, the team is performing admirably under Samson's leadership. Since his debut in 2013, Samson has amassed 4392 runs in 165 IPL matches, including three centuries and 25 fifties, with a high score of 119 runs.
