Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal's wife Anita Goyal passes away after battling cancer.

Mumbai : Anita Goyal, the wife of Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal, passed away on Thursday morning after battling the final stage of cancer. She is survived by her husband and two children, Namrata and Nivaan Goyal. Reports indicate that she passed away at approximately 3 am at their Mumbai residence. Anita, who served as executive vice president, played a key role in the company's operations.

Naresh Goyal, who is facing his own health challenges, had previously requested interim bail from the Bombay High Court on humanitarian grounds to be with his wife. He was taken into custody on September 1, 2023, in connection with a money-laundering case and is currently held at the Arthur Road Central Jail (ARCI). In his bail plea, Naresh Goyal denied allegations of misappropriating loan funds for personal use, as claimed by the Enforcement Directorate in relation to a Canara Bank loan of Rs.538.62 crore extended to the Jet Airways group.
