Chandigarh witnessed a joint operation by the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police which resulted in the recovery of a Pakistani drone in the border area of Tarn Taran district, as per the paramilitary force's announcement on Saturday. The successful operation, attributed to swift information sharing and effective coordination between BSF troops and Punjab Police, highlights their dedication to eradicating the unlawful drone activity.

On June 20, the BSF seized three China-made Pakistani drones in the state. The first drone recovery took place in Amritsar district by BSF troops, and the second in Taran Taran district by both troops and Punjab Police. These drones were identified as Chinese-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic models.

The BSF is entrusted with safeguarding the challenging 553-km long India-Pakistan border in Punjab. Despite facing numerous obstacles such as harsh weather conditions and smuggling activities, BSF personnel maintain round-the-clock border security with unwavering commitment.
