Maharashtra Assembly elections in 2024 : Congress fields 24 candidates in Pune for 8 seats

Preparations for next year's assembly elections have already started. Meanwhile, applications are being invited from interested candidates. The Congress has received 24 nominations from 8 constituencies in Pune. There were 20 candidates in the fray for the seat. At that time, the Congress did not take any money from the applicants. The Congress has nominated Ravindra Dhangekar as its candidate.

However, it has been said that a fee has been charged while inviting applications for the assembly elections. 20 thousand for open category and 10 thousand for women and reserved category. The Congress is contesting all 288 seats in Maharashtra in the upcoming Assembly elections. Political experts say that the Congress is being tested from the point of view that if it does not get the expected seats in the seat allocation or if it has to take the role of 'Ekla Chalo Re' at that time, it should be prepared.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has staked claim to 6 out of eight assembly seats in Pune. The Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress alliance has also decided to contest on 6 seats. The Congress is likely to win the Pune Cantonment, Shivajinagar and Kasba Assembly seats. The Congress is trying to win two seats.

Pune Cantonment, Parbati (Vadgaon Sheri) (Vadgaon Sheri Assembly)

The Congress has fielded candidates in 24 constituencies.
Three or four candidates will be selected.
