Kalyan: A 48-year-old man allegedly molested an eight-year-old girl living with her parents in a housing complex on Malang road in Kalyan East last month. Parents of the girl complained to the police in this regard. After the complaint was filed, the police arrested the youth from Kandivali in Mumbai. The accused has been identified as Ramesh Yadav. He lives in Kandivali, Mumbai. He belongs to a village in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh.
According to the police, the accused, Ramesh Yadav, had come to the victim's house last month to stay as a guest. During the night, the victim herself had gone to keep the nearby toys in the table of the room where Ramesh Yadav was sleeping. The accused then threatened the girl and raped her. He abused and molested her. After the incident, the accused fled away. The girl's parents lodged a complaint with the police after the incident came to light. He was arrested from Kandivali. The case is being investigated under the supervision of senior police inspector Ashok Kadam.
