Hyderabad : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has alleged that the Congress made significant efforts to thwart Draupadi Murmu's presidential election bid due to her skin tone. Modi referenced remarks by Indian Overseas Congress chairman Sam Pitroda about the ethnicity of dark-skinned individuals, which has sparked a heated political dispute between the BJP and Congress, leading to Pitroda's resignation from his position on Wednesday.

Addressing a public gathering in Warangal on May 8, Modi expressed his displeasure at the comments made by the "philosopher and guide" of Rahul Gandhi, insinuating that Murmu was considered African based on her appearance. Modi criticized the notion of evaluating someone's worth based on skin color and condemned Rahul Gandhi for allegedly disrespecting the Constitution. Furthermore, Modi revealed that the INDIA Bloc was proposing a rotational system of five prime ministers for five-year terms if they assumed power.

He accused the Congress of impeding the classification of Scheduled Castes while reallocating reservations from SC's, ST's, and OBC's to Muslims. Modi affirmed his commitment to SC categorization in collaboration with MRPS chief Manda Krishna Madiga. Additionally, Modi accused Congress of complicating the functioning of the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, attributing it to the influence of "RR Tax". He asserted that the electorate's decision would serve as a response to those seeking to undermine Telangana.
