After securing the majority in the Lok Sabha elections, the NDA will witness Narendra Modi taking oath as the Prime Minister once more. Modi has been unanimously chosen as the head of the NDA and elected as the leader of the parliamentary party in a meeting at the central hall of the parliament. The swearing-in ceremony for Prime Minister Modi is expected to take place on Sunday, June 9, with reports suggesting the presence of foreign dignitaries.

Several world leaders are anticipated to attend the ceremony, with invitations extended to figures such as Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, and the heads of Nepal and Mauritius. Additionally, Maldives President Mohammad Muizu has also been invited to the event.

Recently, Narendra Modi visited Lakshadweep Islands, garnering attention for the region as an international tourist destination following his social media posts. However, an incident led to strained relations between India and the Maldives after offensive comments by Maldivian citizens and ministers, including President Mohammad Muizu requesting the withdrawal of the Indian army.

With an invitation extended to President Muizu for Modi's swearing-in ceremony, there is potential for the relations between Maldives and India to improve. The decision of President Muizu to attend the ceremony will be crucial in this regard.

Upon the news of Modi's re-election, leaders worldwide extended their congratulations, with over 75 figures including US President Joe Biden, Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky offering their good wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
