MUMBAI : In the summer season, special trains will be run on the Central and Konkan railway lines to resolve the redundant rush of passengers during the holiday period. TrainNo. 01158 Madgaon to Panvel special train will depart on May 6th at 6:00 AM. This train will reach Panvel at 6:50 PM on the same day. TrainNo. 01157 Panvel – Madgaon Special will depart from Panvel on May 8 at 4:00 AM. This train will reach Margaon at 5:00 PM on the same day.
This train stops at Karamli, Thivi, Sawantwadi Road, Kudal, Sindhudurg, Kankavali, Vaibhavwadi Road, Rajapur Road, Vilavde, Adawali, Ratnagiri, Sangameshwar Road, Sawarde, Chiplun, Khed, Veer, Mangaon and Roha. This train will have 20 LHB coaches out of which 10 sleeper, 8 general and two SLR coaches.
TrainNo. 01159 Panvel – Sawantwadi Road Special Train will leave Panvel on May 6 at 8:00 PM. The coming day the train will reach Sawantwadi Road at 6 am. TrainNo. 01160 Sawantwadi Road – Panvel Special train will leave Sawantwadi Road on 7th May at 4:00 PM. Coming day this train will reach Panvel at 3:00 PM.
This train will stop at Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarde, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Advali, Vilavde, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg and Kudal. This train has 20 LHB coaches, out of which 10 sleeper, 8 general and two SLR coaches were given by the Konkan Railway Administration. Shimga i.e., before Holi, the number of road trains going to Konkan starts getting crowded. thus, special trains are released during this period. Consequently, this year too, special trains have been released on the Konkan railway route since March. Special trains will run on this route till June 6.
Block on Konkan Railway Line Meanwhile, though the special trains will give some relief to the passengers going to Konkan, the journey time will increase. To carry out maintenance work on the Konkan Railway line, the block will be taken on Tuesday. Due to this, the timing of numerous trains will be affected. Blocks are likely to disrupt trains.
