Pakistan terror attack
In a shocking incident, a passenger on a bus coming from Punjab was shot dead in Pakistan's Balochistan province. This was reported by the Pakistani daily, The News. The incident took place in Pakistan's Rawalpindi district. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif condemned the attack.
The incident took place in Rampur district of the state. According to Assistant Commissioner Musakhel Najeeb Kakar, the attackers were unloading passengers from several buses passing through the highway and attacking them.
These buses are being checked by the attackers. After that, only people from Punjab province are being shot, "Kakar was quoted as saying by the Indian Express. He also informed that out of the 23 people killed today, three were from Balochistan and the remaining 20 were from Punjab province.
The attackers set 10 trucks on fire.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of the area Hamid Zahir said that the attackers set 10 trucks on fire. The driver of the truck was also killed. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to a nearby hospital.
Balochistan Liberation Army claims responsibility
They were identified before they were shot, the Balochistan Liberation Army said. However, Pakistan's interior minister denied the claim and said the dead were innocent civilians.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif condemned the attack. "There is no place for terrorism in Pakistan," he said. Sharif directed the local administration to provide all possible assistance to the families of the deceased. He also said that all possible assistance is being provided to those affected.
President Asif Ali Zardari described the attack as an "attack on humanity."
A similar attack took place in April. Nine passengers were taken off a bus in the Noshki area of Musakhel and their identity cards were checked before they were shot dead.
