The Democracy News |Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, Ishaq Dar, urged the Modi 3.0 administration to carefully consider the future of relations between Pakistan and India. Dar reiterated Pakistan's desire for amicable relations with India, highlighting the importance of mutual respect, sovereign equality, and a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.

While expressing readiness to improve ties, Dar also emphasized Pakistan's commitment to responding effectively to any military provocations from India. His remarks coincided with Prime Minister Narendra Modi beginning his third consecutive term, leading the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.

Dar expressed hope that Modi's new term would prompt a thoughtful reassessment of India-Pakistan relations and regional issues. He criticized India's unilateral revocation of Article 370 and 35A in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that it had a negative impact on bilateral relations.

Dar urged India to create a conducive environment for constructive engagement and dialogue by refraining from anti-Pakistan propaganda, ending alleged support for terrorism, and taking concrete steps towards positive relations.
