A fan of Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his alleged girlfriend Pavithra Gowda was murdered in June last year after he posted an objectionable message on social media. The incident has caused a stir in the Karnataka film industry. A total of 17 people, including actor Darshan and actress Pavithra Gowda, are accused in the case. A photo of the deceased fan, 33-year-old Renukaswamy, taken before he was killed, has now surfaced. The killers had stripped Renukaswamy and thrashed him. In the photos, Renukaswamy can be seen singing 'Leave us before we die'. The parents of Renukaswamy, an auto-rickshaw driver, were shocked to see the picture. Police have recovered a mobile phone from the possession of the accused in connection with the murder.
The Karnataka Police has not yet revealed its role in the matter after the photos from the accused's mobile went viral. According to sources, the photos were taken by co-accused Pawan while torturing Renukaswamy after abducting him. After this, Pawan went to the club where actor Darshan was partying and showed these photos to him. Actor Darshan visited actress Pavithra Gowda's house and showed her the photo. After this, both of them reached the place where Renukaswamy was confined and both of them again tortured him.
In the charge sheet, the Karnataka Police has given details of the atrocities committed on Renukaswamy. Renukaswamy suffered a fracture in his hand. There were a total of 39 injuries on his body. He also suffered a serious head injury, the report said. Apart from this, Darshan and his friends had brought a device for electrocution. As soon as he fell unconscious due to the assault, an electric shock was given to Renukaswamy's private parts with the help of a device.
Pavitra Gowda will also suffer the same fate
When his parents saw Renukaswamy's photos, they burst into tears. Why was my son tortured even after he admitted his mistake and apologized? He was electrocuted. No part of his body was left where he was not killed. Renukaswamy's mother said that the court will give strict punishment to those who killed her son. The mother also expressed her anguish that actress Pavithra Gowda and other accused would be subjected to similar torture.
