Pune : An 11- year-old boy unfortunately failed due to a ball hitting his private part while playing cricket in Pune. This incident took place at Jagad Guru Sports Academy ground in Lohgaon around 9 pm on Thursday. Viman Nagar Police Station has registered a unforeseen death in this case. The name of the departed boy is Shaurya alias Shambhu Kalidas Khandve(age- 11, Lohgaon, Pune). Shaurya was a wrestler.

According to information entered, Shaurya was studying in class VI. He was playing cricket with other children of the house on Thursday evening as the school was on vacation. While playing Shambhu, a ball coming from the frontal suddenly hit the groin. At that time, he suddenly fell down on the field. He also stood up, but he was in pain. The pain came unsupportable and he fell down again. This left the other children confused. As he screamed, near citizens took Shambhu to a private hospital.

There the doctor checked Shambhu and declared him dead. Shambhu's body was autopsied at Sassoon Hospital. The airport police said that the exact cause of death will be known after the posthumous report. Shambhu's unforeseen death has left the Khandve family in mourning in the area. Shambhu was the nephew of NCP office bearer and former deputy chairman of Haveli Panchayat Samiti, Bandu Khandve.
