Pune crime branch : Stealing women's jewellery Crime Branch's Unit 5 detects five crimes

A team of Unit 5 of the Crime Branch arrested the accused.

Jitu Barisahab Rajput (27 years) The name of the thief is Wajewadi. According to the police, Inspector Yuvraj Hande of Unit 5 of the Crime Branch received information that Jitu Rajput, a criminal on record, would come to Sasanenagar to sell gold ornaments.


Accordingly, the police laid a trap and arrested Rajput. He, along with his accomplices, stole jewellery from the necks of women who used to go alone in Fursungi, Hadapsar, B T Kavade Road, Devachi Uruli area. He had come to sell his jewellery. The police have recovered jewellery worth Rs 2 lakh 85 thousand and a motorcycle used in the crime worth Rs 3 lakh 95 thousand from his possession. He and his accomplice Anirudh Nanavat have registered 5 cases in different police stations.
