Pune Real Estate Fraud : Deceased Individual's Name Used in Forged Transactions.

In Pune, it has been discovered that fraudulent real estate transactions were conducted using forged documents under the name of a deceased individual. A case has been filed against the perpetrators, who deceived the victim out of a substantial sum of money. The incident occurred at Shalimar Hill Park in Kondhwa between 2022 and June 9, 2024. Shrikant Jaywant Patil, a 57-year-old resident of Pristine Constellation in Oudh, Pune, reported the crime to the Kondhwa Police Station.

The accused individuals, Lata Bhimsha Shetty from Shahdabad Rural Kalburgi, Karnataka, and Zakianwar Mulla from Kondhwa Khurd, are facing charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. According to authorities, the victim's late uncle owned a flat in L Building at Shalimar Hill Park, valued at Rs.1.25 crores.

Lata Shetty fabricated an ownership certificate using counterfeit documents, leading to the fraudulent sale of the property to Zakianwar Mulla. The accused colluded to swindle the victim's uncle's flat, valued at Rs.15 crores, based on the falsified paperwork. The police are currently conducting a through investigation into the matter.
