Pune: Youth dies of electric shock while putting up hoarding

Pune: Police have registered a case against a man for allegedly killing his two friends by setting them on fire.
The deceased has been identified as Devaram Natharam Ghanchi (17). His father, Natharam Sujaram Ghanchi (40), is a doctor by profession. North Kesar Mill Naka, Thane. He has lodged a complaint at the Singhdwar Police station in Rajasthan. Tejaram alias Ajay Mali and Harish Parihar have been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The incident took place on February 18, 2024, near the Tulsi Textiles shop in Manjari.


According to the police, the accused, Devaram Ghanchi, worked as a flex maker at Tejaram Mali's diamond printing factory in Manjari. On February 18, Devaram, along with his associate Indranath Rawal, had gone to the Tulsi textile shop to put up a board. A high-pressure power line had gone out of the Tulsi textile shop. The accused had sent him to jail. At that time, Devaram was seriously injured due to an electric shock from a high-pressure channel. He died at the hospital during treatment. The police had launched an investigation following a complaint by her father. The assistant police inspector is investigating the case.
