Party leader Uddhav Thackeray organized a public meeting in Dombivli on Monday to support Vaishali Darekar, the candidate from the Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency of Mahavikas Aghadi. However, due to heavy rain in the city area, the Bhagshala ground where the meeting was scheduled became muddy, leading to its cancellation. Sadanand Tharwal, the Kalyan Lok Sabha Liaison Chief of Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Party, conveyed this information.
The new date for the meeting will be announced soon. Vaishali Darekar, representing Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Party, is running for the Kalyan Lok Sabha Constituency as part of Mahavikas Aghadi. The party chief, Uddhav Thackeray, had arranged a meeting at Bhagshala Maidan in Dombivli West on Monday evening to boost Darekar's campaign. The setup included a stage, seating arrangements, and other necessary preparations. Office bearers had been working on these arrangements for two days in anticipation of the party chief's second visit to the city.
However, heavy rain and strong winds started around 4 o'clock on Monday afternoon, causing the ground to become muddy. Consequently, the Thackeray group decided to cancel the meeting considering the unsuitable conditions.
