After this statement, Mohammad Yunus expressed his displeasure. "We thought that Sheikh Hasina has been given shelter in India. But they are campaigning. Sheikh Hasina has not visited India. So after the uprising of the people and keeping in mind the public outcry, they have fled. Therefore, sitting in India, they should not give advice on the developments here, we will not accept that and this is also not good for India-Bangladesh relations. We are upset with his statement, "he said.
India should look at all parties except Awami League.
Mohammad Yunus further said that Sheikh Hasina will definitely be brought back to Bangladesh. We attach great importance to the bilateral relations between India and Bangladesh. But India needs to stop looking at political parties other than the Awami League only through the prism of Islamism or move beyond this narrative.
"Relations between India and Bangladesh are at an all-time low and both countries need to work together to improve it. " Younis made the remarks in an interview to PTI after a telephonic conversation between him and Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this week.
