The Democracy News :- Shivrajyabhishek Diwas 2024 : Today we are celebrating the coronation day of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as per the scheduled date. June 20 is the date on which this year's celebration of this day is taking place. As per the Hindu calendar, this day is observed annually on Trayodashi Tithi during the waxing phase of the moon in the month of Jyeshtha.

Shivaji Maharaj was crowned at Raigad on June 6, 1674. On that day, Shivaji Maharaj was bestowed with the title of 'Shiva Chhatrapati', and eventually, Maharaj's vision of Hindu Swarajya was realized. Due to his intelligence, bravery, courage, loyalty, and valor, Shivaji Maharaj vanquished his adversaries and solidified his control over India. During this project, the Maharaja received constant backing from the Mawls and the valuable affection of the citizens.

Even now, Maharaj's position remains unblemished in the hearts of all Marathi people. Due to this, Raigad is witnessing a large gathering of Shiva worshippers today on the day of the coronation. Different initiatives are being arranged throughout the state on this day.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, known as a courageous warrior and compassionate ruler (Maratha Emperor), was born on February 19, 1630 at Shivneri Fort, as recorded in history.
